Today my new Xindak MT-1 tube amplifier arrived. After some cable mangling it vent into the system just to the left of the turntable. And it is playing beautiful already. I am not sure how much burn-in time it will need but 30-50 hours or more should not be impossible.
I have only heard a few records yet, but the sound is definitely more relaxed and smooth than thru the solid state amp. The small harshness that occasionally could be heard from the combination of a lively SS amp and the whizzer cone of the full range units is gone. Both the soprano soloists and the choir of "Il trionfo del tempo et del veritas" by Händel are wonderfull in the large church accoustics where it is recorded.
And now - back to lots of music in the soft glow of the P14 (Chinese version of EL84)!
